BPBS Orang Asli supports daily school access for Orang Asli students in Perak, Johor, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan and Selangor. Every school day is planned around the realities on the ground, from where students live to the kind of access each community needs.
Some students travel by van. Some routes need 4x4 vehicles. In riverine areas, boats become part of the school journey. Buses remain part of the network, but the strength of BPBS Orang Asli is its ability to combine different modes so students can reach school consistently.
BPBS Orang Asli is built around one public purpose. Students should have a dependable way to reach school, even when the journey begins far from a normal transport network.
Vehicles are assigned according to location and terrain, whether the journey requires a bus, van, 4x4 or boat.

For many students, travelling to school does not begin at a conventional bus stop. Routes may begin deep within a Kampung Orang Asli, continue along rural roads, cross demanding terrain or require part of the journey to be completed by boat.
This is why MARALINER's approach is not limited to one type of vehicle. Transport is arranged according to local requirements, using vans, 4x4 vehicles, boats and buses where each mode makes the most sense.

BPBS Orang Asli works because many people carry the same responsibility. Students, parents, drivers, local operators, village heads, JAKOA and MARALINER operations teams each hold part of the journey.
Many routes rely on small local operators, including Orang Asli operators, who know the terrain and earn income by keeping school access moving.
Local leaders help confirm that students, vehicles and communities are aligned each morning, giving operations teams trusted visibility from the ground.

MARALINER is proud to support Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli (JAKOA) in providing BPBS school transport for Orang Asli students.
Our role extends beyond providing vehicles. It requires coordinating operators, routes, communities and operational teams across locations with very different geographical and logistical conditions.
Through this service, MARALINER continues its wider role as a mobility provider that serves not only urban centres and intercity passengers, but students in areas where dependable transportation can make a meaningful difference to access to education.
The connection with a community goes beyond the school route. MARALINER has also joined initiatives that bring support closer to Orang Asli communities.
At Pos Kemar, Gerik, MARALINER and MARA Corporation joined the MARA Prihatin - Jejak Aspirasi UPTM programme, which brought MARA, UPTM and strategic partners together with the Orang Asli community.
Led by MARA Chairman Datuk Wira Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, the visit reflected a shared effort to listen, exchange aspirations and recognise local potential.
During the COVID-19 vaccination effort in 2022, MARALINER transformed coaches into a Mobile Vaccination Unit, bringing vaccination space closer to communities, including Orang Asli communities.
Instead of moving passengers, the coach took on a new role: helping move access to health protection.
